Today we went to court to advance our lawsuit filed against Mayor Carlos Gimenez.  Back in December in the 11th Circuit Court we filed suit against the Mayor Carlos Gimenez for failing to properly fund and staff the county tax appeal process.

TEACHERS: Important Changes to your Evaluation System

The Florida Legislature passed HB 7069.  The bill was signed by the Governor and on April 14th became law effective immediately.  HB 7069 allows for a reduction in testing and also allows UTD and M-DCPS to negotiate changes to teacher evaluations.

Since 1868 we have celebrated Decoration Day, now called Memorial Day as a day to honor Americans who fought and died in the Civil War. Originally, this day was celebrated with townspeople decorating gravesites with an American Flag.
