Dates/Times/Locations/Instructors
UTD has
another exciting year of professional development offerings
scheduled for its Educational Research and Dissemination
(ER&D) Program in school year 2010-2011. Start the year out
right with one of our ER&D courses:
UTD Managing Antisocial Behavior-Part A
which begins September 15th for 5 sessions (9/15,
9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13) and 18 Master Plan Points. Choice
of two locations: Linda Lentin K-8 or G. Holmes Braddock
Senior High
UTD Strategies for Student Success-Part A
which begins September 14th for 3 sessions (9/14, 9/21,
9/28) at Hialeah Senior or
UTD Strategies for Student Success-Part A
which begins September 20th for 3 sessions (9/20,
9/27, 10/4) at the UTD Professional Resource Center at Miami
Southridge Senior. Both 3 session courses are for 11 Master
Plan Points.
Meeting the Standards for Paraprofessionals-Reading
which begins September 20th for 4 sessions (9/20,
9/21, 9/22, 9/23) at Kinloch Park Elementary. This MSP-Reading
course is the first of the three courses leading to “highly
qualified” status for paraprofessionals.
UTD Foundations of Effective Teaching I- Part A
which begins September 29th for 5 sessions (9/29,
10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10.27) for 19 Master Plan Points at
Homestead Senior.

FAIR now replaces DIBELS,
ORF and DAR. There are 3 administration periods that are each approximately
40 days in length. (See
Testing Calendar) The test must be administered using a
“team” approach at each school and will not be the sole
responsibility of the classroom teacher.
