The
2006-07 Performance Pay

2002 Memorandum of Understanding (Sections 1-5).
All full-time

in an active status for at least 99 days during the 2006-07 school
year.

employees are ineligible to receive the performance supplement:
- Hourly,
Part-Time and Half-Time Personnel
- Interim Teachers
- Pool Temporary
Instructors
- Temporary
Instructors
- Itinerant
Personnel
-
Paraprofessional/Support Personnel
- Office Employees
The performance
supplement shall be five percent of the employee’s annual base salary
for the 2006-07 school year. Eligible employees shall be paid their
performance supplement on August 31, 2007.
This is the final
year that the October
23rd, 2002 Memorandum of Understanding that
implemented state statue 1012.22(1)(c)(4) will be valid. The statute
has been repealed and replaced with the
Merit Award
Program (MAP). MAP allowed for the continuation of the prior
performance pay agreement between UTD and MDCPS for the 2006-07 school
year as one of three options. MDCPS finally agreed to implement this
option as a result of negotiations,
a
grievance settlement, and a ruling by the Florida Department of
Education that the MAP plan they had previously imposed, despite the
overwhelming negative vote of the employees, was not in compliance with
state statute.
Performance pay
policies for the 2007-08 school year and beyond are currently a subject
of negotiations between UTD and MDCPS. Performance pay will also
continue to be a priority issue for UTD in the legislative process. |
