Progress Monitoring Plans (PMP) Replace AIPs

The A++ Bill has developed provisions for the new Progress Monitoring Plans (PMP) for students who fail to meet state and district performance levels in reading and/or math. UTD has been assured there will be no increase in paperwork requirements by teachers, who will have fewer requirements than with AIPs.

Under the PMP requirements, teachers will continue to:

  • identify students not meeting performance standards in reading/math
  • conduct evaluations
  • implement interventions for appropriate students
  • notify parents if students fail to make progress
  • administer district-wide Interim Assessments for K-3 students in October, January, April
  • modify instruction based on results of Interim Assessments
  • re-evaluate students
  • make recommendations for future instruction based on collected data

All schools will be receiving the implementation plan.  For clarification or questions, contact UTD’s Prof. Dev. Dept. at 305-854-0220.
